THE ARTIST

stephanie defregger

has achieved great success in New Zealand since arriving 2 years ago from Germany. She is passionate about her work and loves to create. Being raised as the great granddaughter of Franz von Defregger, Stephanie spent her life immersed in art. Her journey as an artist began early, her career as a painter started 2003.

Stephanie enjoys life and her love for beauty, harmony and balance can be found everywhere in her work. Vibrant colours, energetic structures and the concept of variety form the basis of her stunning artwork.

Stephanie has the ability to see themes in nature others do not see at first sight and succeeds in visualising them to the observer. She often paints in multiple layers and even though the first colour layers are then mostly invisible, they are important for the whole art composition.

Her work is “joyful, unique and rare”.

Stephanie Defregger lives and works in Wanaka, South Island. She is represented in several galleries in New Zealand and also shows her artwork in solo exhibitions, group exhibitions and auctions. Her clients are from all over the world.

Working with the best material is a matter of course. Therefore she uses only finest ingredients: high quality acrylics, cotton canvas and lots of TLC.

Stephanie is aware that buying artwork is special. Meet the artist in her studio in central Wanaka by appointment or enjoy the possibility that she comes with the artwork into your home. Note that payments by installments are possible.

Another philosophy is that the money will be refunded if the artwork does not fit into your home. For her, your personal satisfaction and enjoyment are paramount. To this day there have been 100% happy clients.

Stephanie also does commission work and has additionally the unique offer to paint live at an event and capture the atmosphere in an artwork. Ask for special arrangements and enjoy an artistic highlight at your event.
